The new toilet block at UBE Kofar Kibo primary school
With support from the PDF, FLO Foundation were able to construct a new toilet block at UBE Kofar Kibo primary school in Nigeria.
The school has 1500 pupils and one of the most pressing issues was the lack of basic toilet facilities, resulting in open defecation.
The construction of a new toilet block has reduced the risk of the spread of diseases and created an environment more conducive to learning. Construction was completed and the block was handed over to the school in December 2020.

‘As a mother of four, I raised my children to be compassionate and to have a sense of empathy for the less privileged, a value that was instilled in me at Pestalozzi. My youngest child, Ruqayyat, seized this passion and founded the FLO Foundation. Consequently, the goals and objectives of FLO Foundation, which is centred on promoting quality education and promoting development, directly aligns with the mission of Pestalozzi. I am deeply proud to be an alumna and to be living out the Pestalozzi dream through my children and the FLO Foundation.’
