Events & Fundraising

One way that you can support us, and have fun whilst doing it, is to raise money by taking part in a sponsored event or holding a fundraising event of your own.

Here are some ideas and information to help get you started:

Fundraise at work or school

  • Dress down Friday at work – or even Fancy-Dress Friday!! See your boss in his Onesie maybe?
  • Do you enjoy baking? Organise a cake sale for your colleagues or organise a fun ‘bake off’ event
  • Make us your charity of the year
  • Payroll giving
  • Have a collection box in your place of work or local shop

Host a fundraising event

  • Declutter at home and hold a Car Boot Sale
  • Get your children involved. Hold a sponsored silence or a car wash in your street and teach them about the importance of helping others
  • Do you or a family member have a musical talent? Then why not hold a concert?
  • Film night with friends – sell snacks and drinks
  • Have an Easter egg hunt with lots of clues to find the chocolate eggs
  • Do you love to sing? Have a Karaoke night – belt out your favourite tunes
  • Have a games night – play cards, Monopoly, Scrabble etc.
  • Hold a virtual quiz night or virtual cocktail making class
  • Facebook birthday fundraiser

Take part in a challenge & get friends & family to sponsor you

  • Participate in a challenge event such as a marathon or a 10k run, cycle, swim or walk
  • Hold a sponsored keep fit session – sell drinks, healthy snacks etc.
  • Give up a treat for a month – Chocolate for Lent, Sober October, Stop Smoking – all good for your health
  • Grow a moustache or a beard for a month, or perhaps be daring and shave off your hair!

Our 2022 Events

TCS London Marathon 2 October 2022

The charity has a place in the TCS London Marathon on 2 October 2022. The place has been allocated to Gareth Hiron, who will be running the London Marathon for the second time.

Gareth was due to run in 2020, but the event did not take place due to COVID restrictions and was moved again to 3rd October 2021. Unfortunately, Gareth wasn’t able to run in 2021, so we are delighted that he is running this year, raising much needed funds for Pestalozzi.

Please support Pestalozzi by sponsoring Gareth here: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/gareth-hiron1

If you have been fortunate enough to secure a place in the ballot, please consider supporting Pestalozzi as your charity of choice for 2022. You’ll receive a running vest to wear when training and on the race day, as well as sponsorship information and support from the Pestalozzi team.

If you are interested, please contact us at office@pestalozzi.org.uk or call 01424 870444.

We’d love to hear from you if you’re planning a fundraiser.

If you have a fundraising idea that you would like to discuss with us, please contact office@pestalozzi.org.uk or call us on 01424 870444 and we’d be happy to provide you with help and information for your event.
